Today I decided to do something a bit different, so today's post is about my trip to Melbourne. I will be showing you what's in my suitcase and carry on, what I do each day and what I wear each day. For each day I will write down what I did and I will include pictures in a slideshow beneath the paragraph. I woke up at 6 am and got ready. By 7 we were ready to go. We arrived at the airport at about 8 and checked in our bags. We then went through security. It didn’t take very long. Then we got on the plane. The whole flight I played games on my 3DS. This included Happy Home Designers and Tomadachi Life. We then landed at about 10:45. Then we went to Budget to get our rental car. This took quite a while, but eventually we got our car. It was a blue Holden. Then we drove to our family, who live in Melbourne. As soon as we got there we were greeted with hugs. They showed us around the property, which included the house, the backyard, the pool, the shed and the alpacas. Their names are Miles and Blue. After we had a look at everything we feed the alpacas. Then we went inside. When we got back inside, me and Lucienne played some Little Big Planet with our cousin. We didn’t really do that many levels, but we decorated our characters a lot. We then watched A Cinderella Story and a bit of Harry Potter: The chamber of secrets. Then we had dinner, which was ribs, and it was very yummy. After dinner we had cake and sang happy birthday to my aunty, because the 23rd is her birthday. We had mango cake and chocolate cake. After dinner we went to go finish Harry Potter. After that we decided to watch Mamma Mia. Eventually everyone came in to watch too. We all laughed at how bad some of the characters were at singing. We then went to bed at about 10:30. Day 2: Hanging Rock and going to the cityToday we went to The Hanging Rock. I woke up at around 8:15 and watched a few YouTube videos before our cousin came in. We then read a book and eventually we got up. We had pancakes for breakfast with maple syrup. After we ate breakfast we went back to play the Playstation. We played Sonic: Sega All Stars Racing. It was very fun. I was usually Knuckles or Sonic. I then had a shower. When I came back we decided to play Lego Star Wars. We didn’t get to play much on there because we had to leave to go to the Hanging Rock. The trip only took about twenty minutes, but about halfway there we stopped to see my cousins school. We then started walking up the track to the rocks. On the way up we stopped and decided to try and go through a hole in the rocks. This was not the best idea because we got a bit stuck. But we just turned back and went out the way we came in. We then kept going up the track and eventually we got to the top. As you can see in the pictures, it has a very nice view. After we reached the top, we started to make our way back to the bottom. Everyone was very hungry and thirsty, so we went straight to a pub about 5 minutes away. I had fish and chips, but I forgot to take a picture of it. When we got back to my cousins house, we had a piece of cake, and then we had to leave. It took about 40 minutes to get to the rental car place, where we returned the car. Then we got a taxi to the apartment, which took about 30 minutes. When we arrived at the apartment, the beds weren’t made yet, but that was okay because we didn’t need them right away. Lucienne and my mum went to go get some snacks from 711, while me and daddy stayed at the apartment. Later, at about 8, we went out to dinner at the spaghetti tree. I got linguini with garlic, salami and tomato sauce (I forgot the Italian word for it). It was very yummy. For dessert I had lemon and strawberry gelato, which was also very good. When we got back we were very tired so we went to bed. Day 3: Shopping and Ken ZanToday we went shopping. We got up at about 9 ish and got ready to go out for breakfast. For breakfast I had bacon and eggs on sourdough with a hash brown, as well as freshly pressed apple juice. It was really good and filled us up for a lot of the day. After breakfast we started walking to the emporium shopping centre. There were heaps and heaps of shops. I didn’t end up buying anything there, but then we went to the shopping centre next to it and there was a MASSIVE like the size of two 3 story houses. I’m not exaggerating. I ended up buying a navy blue jumpsuit, which I end up wearing the next day. After that we headed towards Southbank. After we got there, we had a small lunch, because we were still full from breakfast. I got tuna skewers, which were very good. After our small lunch, we went inside the shopping centre. There wasn’t really anything we wanted to look at, so we went to the art gallery. There was a glass wall with water flowing down, which looked really cool. We only went in the free bit, but it was still cool. I included some photos of the displays in the slideshow below. After we had a look in the art gallery, we went to go find a tram to get us back home. This took a little while, but eventually we found that the 35 and 75 would get us back to our apartment. We also talked to a women who’s a teacher at my school. We then got back home and relaxed a little before going out to dinner at Ken Zan. Just for clarification, Ken Zan is a Japanese restaurant. We arrived at about 6. We booked a private room the night before, so when we got there we got to go into a little room with sliding doors around us. It was really cool. We ordered a lot of food, including Miso Soup, Tempura vegetables and prawns, Wagyu beef, Karage chicken (which is deep fried chicken with mustard) and a sushi and sashimi sharing plate. It was all really good and the waiters were really nice. We then went home and went to sleep. Day 4: Leaving MelbourneToday we left Melbourne. I got up at around 8 and started getting ready to leave. We had croissants with honey for breakfast. I then had a shower and got ready. Then we got a taxi from the apartment to the airport at around 10. We arrived at the airport at around 10:40. Our flight had been delayed by about 20 minutes, but I just played some games on my phone while we waited. We boarded at about 12 and we were up by 12:20. The flight only took around an hour. When we landed I was very hungry, so we got sushi. I had grilled salmon. Then we left the airport and drove home. Hope you guys enjoyed this post, and I'll see you all next week!
